Project Management
We were asked by a medium sized bank to project manage the conversion of their Core Banking system and Item Processing system. This 9-month project entailed:
Organizational changes - Conducted skills assessments of all full time and temporary Operations staff and through cross-training and organizational changes, all temporary staff were removed resulting in a considerable departmental cost savings.
Process and Procedures - Conversion required the development of a problem and reporting system, the stabilization of a branch imaging system, establishing conversion procedures and the creation of new departmental operating procedures.
Project Reporting - A master project plan was created and all project teams, department and vendor, provided written and verbal updates to their individual schedules by means of a weekly corporate-wide conference call.
Vendor Management - Managed multiple third-party vendor schedules in the implementation of new hardware and software, creation and implementation of custom interfaces, customized forms, design and implementation of a Check Image Exchange System and the design and implementation of an automated Teller Proof Comparison system.
Security Management - Implemented secure access to imaged data, which provides customers the ability to view their checks online.
Additional Post Conversion Project - Implemented an enterprise-wide automated online consumer loan application system. |
